Improved on an existing web application designed to manage Boiron product information and provide forecast data for the purchasing manager. The original application was developed in Visual Studio 2008 using VB.NET, and with a SQL 2005 database. Working with a narrow time frame, I made the application more object oriented building data- and business layers in .NET 3.5 and providing an interface, using ASP.NET, where individual sales representatives enter budgeting data for their customers and products. Designing and implementing a web application as a dashboard, using ASP.NET, to visualize the sales department's performance to management. The application is a 3-tier application using for the using .NET 3.5 and C# with both Linq and Ajax. The database is MS SQL 20005.Built a report tool as a web application, converting Access reports to Crystal reports accessible from the web application. Also developed an option to export the report to Excel. The web application was built in .NET 3.5 using the Crystal Report Viewer control.Built a web application for customer orders using .NET 3.5 and C#. The application is a 3-tier application using a MSSQL Server in the back-end. Order forms are created dynamically from predefined product lists, as is customer data, and the information is then pre-populated in the order form. As the order is submitted emails are automatically sent out to the involved parties.

Analyst and developer in a firm-wide project integrating a new accounting system (Elite 3E). I worked on ensuring the integration and continuous functionality of other firm applications that were data dependent on the accounting system. Project responsibilities included: planning, researching and implementing various solutions through BizTalk 2006 R2. I also built a data warehouse, and designed and developed application specific components in .NET using C#. Designed and developed a web-based application for a firm wide re-branding of business cards. The application was built in Visual Studio 2008 using C#, with a back-end database using SQL 2005. The application included security through Windows Integrated Authentication and the Active Directory, sending emails using the .NET class library System.Net.Mail, and creating reports through code-generated Excel reports. I was the only developer involved and often met with the clients to brainstorm and document their requirements.Completed a project that I took over after other developers where laid off. To understand the purpose of the application and the design, I worked closely with the client, and with my manager to be able to complete the project on the given deadline.Worked as the firm contact person for a Pro Bono project, outsourcing our Pro Bono data to a third party application. In this project I wrote a .NET parser that took data from an old Access database and parsed it to fit the new application's data requirements.Deploying new web applications. All applications I was involved in, I also configured and deployed on the Web Server, configuring the IIS and setting appropriate access rights for the file server.Bug-fixed several other firm applications, and got good reviews for being both a fast and detail-oriented worker.

Part of rebuilding Barium's core architectural framework from Visual Basic and classic ASP to using .NET 2.0 and C#. This was a major undertaking working in a team of three (using the SCRUM model) and putting in a total of 7000 hours. I learned a lot from Barium's excellent architecture, designed chiefly by Fredrik Normén, active blogger and author of several books on .NET.Installed, configured and deployed the Barium Business Excellence Suite for customers around Sweden. This included detailed configurations of the Web Server (IIS), File Server, and SQL Server.Worked on applications for case management, document management, performance management, process management, and project management. Gained in-depth knowledge of the multi-tier development process from database to user interfaceDeveloped a solution in Visual Studio 2005, using C#, automating integration of Active Directory users into the Barium Business Excellent Suite.Developed an automated email intake process for a case management process for a major Swedish company, using Visual Studio 2005, .NET 2.0, C#, and MS Exchange Server. The application polled a specified email account for the client's support department, and transformed it into a work-flow item in a case management system. Security and reliability were main concerns as the company received 500+ support cases every day.Interacted with customers for customer support with projects I had developed.

SystemOK is a PC recovery and security company that is owned by Sonic Solutions.Worked on expanding and improving the company website, using JSP, CSS and Javascript.Translated the website and product manuals from Swedish to English.

Zooark is an interactive web site following a research project in Zoo architecture around the world.Developed, designed and maintained an interactive website, based on ASP and MySQL. The web site included a journal where researchers could post texts and images. It also included an interactive Q&A sections where readers could post questions to the researchers.

Lead developer in an eight month project, building a project management system, for both project intake and project maintenance. The system was built in classic ASP, using Vb-script and Javascript to provide a dynamic feel in a pre-ajax era. The back-end database was MySQL.Interviewed employees and analyzed their answers in order to design the project management system from a bottom-up approach.Integrated the system as a portal in Sigma's Intranet. After the system was built, it became Sigma’s central organization tool in which all projects must be registered, defined, updated and finalized.Successfully presented and launched the system at Sigma in February, 2004.

Single-handedly built and managed a computer lab in a 23-story building in an impoverished neighborhood (Englewood) in South Chicago, using parts from different donated computers. The final computer lab was open to the building residence, and had eight computers connected to the Internet through a shared Ethernet, using a DSL connection. This was part of the social project “bridging the digital divide”.Designed course material and held classes on basic computer and Internet knowledge.Consulted for an $8-million renovation project together with Motorola and Cisco aimed at turning the Englewood building into a ”Smart Building” using Canopy, Motorola’s then newly developed WAP technique.Built a demo website using JSP and Javascript.Built a Flash animation to use on the web site.
