After graduating from Sheffield Hallam University in 2005, I started my first business as an online clothing retailer and wholesaler.I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges and variety of being self-employed, but in a bid to get more experience in other areas, I landed my first employed role at the magazine publisher company, Bauer Media, formally known as Emap, in 2008. This was for their publication, Today’s Golfer, and I was responsible for maintaining their online website. In 2009, I decided to revisit working for myself again and went into business with an old school friend, William Bowles. We used savings to buy, sell and import wholesale products across many markets including niche catering equipment, TV beds, traditional beds, sofa beds, carpet underlay, pillows and e-cigarettes. Our business model was to order these lines in bulk and sell online via websites that I created and managed along with other online market places such as eBay and Amazon.In 2013, we made our move into the property market and started with renovation projects for the first 18 months before then moving onto developing new builds. In 2016 we completed our first four starters homes in Deeping St. James, Lincolnshire and built one executive house in Stamford, Lincolnshire. In 2017 we will complete another executive house in Burnham Market, Norfolk.For 2017, we currently have two projects that we hope to complete by the end of the year; one is a land/concept deal for a residential (75 flats) and commercial development, and the other is a development scheme for 15 dwellings - both of these projects are based in Peterborough.
