I have often been sought out for leadership roles. These positions really made me see how important this phrase could be when a leader empowers others to be creative and develop innovative solutions when they tap into their inner strengths. I have always empowered the people on my teams to do the jobs they have been trained for and to think outside the box to reach the teams goals. To me, providing clear direction and vision and allowing the team to work through the task just seemed the correct way to get things accomplished. It wasn't until I had a supervisor explain to me that she couldn't understand how, when she tasked the team, she would get exactly what she asked for; but when I would task the team, they would come back with a in-depth, well thought out, innovative solution beyond what was expected.I am the type of leader who empowers others to tap into their inner strengths creating the best culture for efficiency and continued success through development of future company leadership.
