Leading the ocean data team on the development of Ocean Watch an open data platform supporting ocean literacy, transparent decision making and sustainable ocean development.Creating a program of demand-driven research into ocean equity and how data and technology can be a resource to fill representation gaps in planning and policy processes.

Developed the organisation’s conservation and expansion strategy and managed the program, and three aligned projects and their staff, to enhance the effectiveness of fisheries-specific Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) through establishing a science-based co-management approach.

Developed a blue carbon project strategy and design in accordance with the Verified Carbon Standard, aligning public and local stakeholders in the restoration and conservation of >500 hectares of mangroves and their ecosystem goods and services supporting the resilience of coastal ecosystems and communities.

Coordinated the implementation of the UN Environment initiative, Green Fins in Bohol and Negros Oriental, Philippines. Conducting operator-level environmental impact assessments and working with private and public stakeholders to reduce the impact of diving and snorkelling tourism on coral reefs.

Assessed island-based sources of marine debris, and distribution pathways, in order to pilot an economically viable, locally managed recycling system that could be replicated in similar contexts.
