Jonathan is a graduate of Environmental Earth Sciences at Aberystwyth University, where his analytical approach allowed him to thrive. An example of this he was able to methodically used Multi Criteria Analysis (MCA) in ArcGIS to produce a presentation on where to build a new hospital. While at university he enjoyed using computerised Geographical information systems to analyse soil for his dissertation, he enjoyed working with and resolving problems which came along with working with computers for months, this include two crashed while trying to save large file sizes corrupting several of the files. Jonathan would be a good fit for the role of IT Service Management Consultant as he is a keen problem solver, while at university he used his problem solving skills to work out how deep the mineral rich veins of rocks stretched, solving it was similar to a Sudoku having to work out the depth of rocks surrounding it before understanding how deep the mineral rich one was. This was useful at university where he was president of the university chess society and a key team member throughout his time at the university. As a key team player, Jonathan enjoys helping others achieve their goals; whether it be in education or recreation; putting on extra help clinics for those struggling with mapping programs, or teaching chess to new players. Jonathan would like to work for an organisation which allows him to work to his full potential and which has opportunities for career development. Jonathan is a quick learner; while at FDM Leeds he used his good listening skills to efficiently learn pro-skills such as presentation skills and writing up meeting notes. He also learnt several different programming languages including BASH, SQL and Windows Shell scripting language. While learning bash and Windows Shell he enjoyed the automating side of the language and thrived when asked to create a script which checks the CPU and RAM usage of all programs which was relayed back to the user.
