Responsibilities- Client relationships – build, maintain, and evolve relationships with clients. Centering on building trust, managing perception and taking the time to understand their needs. - New business sales – meeting with prospective clients, pitching proposals and design options.- Client review / design – reviewing existing network, designing new environments.- Project management – design and manage small projects to full network upgrades.- Mentoring techs / employees – work closely with sub-contractors and employees both as a manager and mentor.- Time management – task orientated and self-starting. Consulting for the small business is focused on efficiency.- Network design and installation – internet, firewall, and network design based on network load and connectivity requirements.- Server design and installation – From simple single server environments to complex hybrid virtual and physical environments Technical Skills- Active Directory Design – Options and design ranging from printer deployment and logon scripts to desktop and user restrictions.- Terminal server and RDS design / maintenance – Designed and guided multiple environments ranging from 2003 Terminal services to Server 2012 RDS.- Backup design and maintenance - Backup Exec, AppAssure, Windows, Cloud solutions- Microsoft server and workstation operating systems – 2012, 2008 R2, 2008, 2003 R2, 2003, 2000 and even NT 4.0- Firewall – Configuration and design - VPN – both user and site to site configurations.- Virus removal and mitigation – from both workstations and servers- Process documentation – for both user and system admin- New desktop deployments / procedures- Microsoft Office- Office 365 – many migrations – familiar with the process, tools and caveats- Hosted Exchange – familiar with different providers, capabilities and processes- Microsoft Hyper-V- AppAssure – configuration and support with remote replication and standby- Backup Exec – all versions
