About Jonathan Bennett

A business orientated IT professional with significant experiencing in building business advantage and profit through IT services and solutions. An experienced IT and Business professional, I have nearly 30 years experience in the Fuel card / issuing business, principally building technical business solutions to enable significant business growth. Within Keyfuels we built the FMS, that enabled it to consistently outstrip its fuel card issuing competition through the power of its technology solutions. The first card issuer to provide intergrated Own Yard solutions, a sophisticated EDI suite, online telephone integration, and the first e-business solution in EFuels and EFlex. Following the acquisition of Keyfuels by FleetCor, I spent 6 months as MD, to manage the integration and stabilisation, before moving into a European IT leadership role. Led the selection of a European fuel card solution acquisition, then the rebuild into GFN (GlobalFleetNet) - a true multi-country cross border fuel card issuing and billing solution. Led the build and conversion of the CCS Czech and Slovak businesses onto GFN. Post that conversion, led the European IT team on the Shell Horizon 3 bid, alongside Logica / CGI, eventually winning that contract (2011). Led the FleetCor team to then build out and deploy GFN across the Shell non US countries ... 32 Shell countries now operate on the GFN platform. Following the FleetCor acquisition of AllStar in 2012, led the GFN build out and conversion onto the GFN platform. Responsible for FleetCor non-US business support, alongside major Oil conversion projects. Led the build out and subsequent 11 country conversions of the Shell SME businesses for a number of Western and Central European countries .Having left FleetCor at the end of 2016, I am now the CEO & Co-Founder of ByteStrype Ltd, an event (transaction) processing solution provider initially focused on the fuel card space. Taking our wealth of fuel card solution experience the Bytestrype offering combines a highly scalable microservices solution (running in commodity cloud) with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central to provide a complete issuing solution. Business Central has been extended to include card management with real time integration to card issuers, and of deployable in any country that BC is approved for. A true cloud based international solution.

ByteStrype is start-up Technology company. It is an event (transaction) processing solution provider. The business provides clients with software components that operate in and around the event processing space. ByteStrype’s first product to market is a fully flexible, and adaptive, event based, pricing engine. This has been built to enhance client revenues, and profit margins. The Founders have a wealth of fuel card application experience which they bring to ByteStrype. Their vision is to build on to the Event Pricing Engine with further event, and actor, based services including analytics, self-serve, credit, attrition management tools etc. to further drive customer acquisition and retention and thus further enhance profitability and revenue. The ByteStrype solutions inter-operate with existing corporate or ERP systems providing modular plug-in components allowing the client to remain on their old system, or elements of it, and so greatly reducing migration and implementation cost and risk. The solutions are offered to Fuel Card resellers, Card Issuers and Oil Companies, but are applicable for any Event (transaction) based processing company looking to improve its processes and profitability. ByteStrype’s cloud-based microservice architecture allows it to develop software applications as a suite of small, independently deployable, modular services. Each service runs a unique process, scales independently, and communicates through it’s high performance event pipeline.Designed, from the outset, for availability, scale, and speed, ByteStrype’s services are based on the same architectures that powers many of the largest cloud applications running today.Unlike monolithic applications, or distributed monoliths, a client can take just the services that their business needs today. This leads to rapid time to value, without the risk and cost of full system switch-outs.
