Jonathan holds a B.Sc. in Building Surveying from De Montfort University (UK) and is a member of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors. He is a LEED Accredited Professional.Since 2006 Jonathan has been working for Altus Group, Canada’s largest real estate consultants in the Vancouver Cost & Project Management Division, leading the team responsible for Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), Replacement Cost Estimates for insurance and Capital Planning, across Western Canada.His team provides specialist advice on physical property condition to prospective purchasers, owners and managers of commercial property, coordinating a team of partner consultants as necessary, reducing risk and uncertainty regarding property acquisitions and assisting in capital planning decision making. His team also provides capital planning advice to municipal clients on properties across BC (including a large affordable housing portfolio). His team also provides estimates of insurable value (replacement cost new) to many of Canada’s most prestigious property owners, across a diverse range of property classes, from single residential properties to multi-billion dollar commercial portfolios. Over his career he has worked in UK, Australia and Canada in a wide range of construction cost related roles and has been an integral member of several high profile project management teams.
