CurrentTechnical lead in the evaluation of PPE using using physiological modelling and thermal manikins;Application of physiological models of human thermoregulation to evaluate equipment and clothing and to provide advice on safety and performance;Modelling engineering processes (heat and mass transfer through clothing, ventilation of vehicles, and personal cooling systems);Scientific programming using Matlab (or FORTRAN) to implement and develop ODE-based models and solve other Scientific problems using analysis of large physiological data sets, optimisation and curve fitting to define model parameters and inputs; Understanding of the principles behind different modelling methods and experience of determining how they can be applied to solve problems;Organising and delivering technical programmes in the form of reports and presentations for customers;Successful bid development (writing and costing of technical programmes, bid reviews);Maintaining and developing customer contacts.
