Theoretical / Computational Physics Researcher | Scientific ProgrammerRecovering physicist journeying into quant finance.Theoretical physicist with extensive experience in numerical computation, early universe cosmology, and analog condensed matter systems for cosmology. I am the sole developer of several high-performance numerical codes to study a variety of complex physical phenomena.Technical Experience and Expertise:* Scientific computing experience includes: - development of large-scale lattice simulation using hybrid MPI / OpenMP parallelisation - use of pseudospectral and symplectic integration methods to achieve numerical solutions accurate to the limitations of machine precision. Improved on existing methods by several orders of magnitude, often with significant speedup in runtime as well. - numerical solutions to nonlinear hyperbolic, parabolic, and elliptic equations with constraints* Author of 18 papers in leading journals. Delivered over 50 seminars and research talks, over 25 of which were invited.* Developed novel approaches to treating quantum mechanical phenomena, allowing for a precise computational treatment not available in existing frameworks.Mentoring and Leadership Experience:* Mentored 8 early careers (Masters/PhD) researchers and University College London and University of Toronto.
