Jonathan was responsible for leading the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games venue delivery programme and operations in relation to the Olympic Park. As part of the Senior Civil Service Jonathan was responsible for leading HM Government’s assurance programme on the delivery of the venues and sport required for staging the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Jonathan provided the strategic coordination on venue delivery and operations across other government departments providing services to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

As the senior project manager in the Venues and Infrastructure Department Jonathan was responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary project management team charged with delivering the ‘operational ready’ venues in the Olympic Park for the 2012 Games.

Jonathan was responsible for leading Sport England’s delivery plans and assurance on major project development, with particular focus on the Wembley National Stadium redevelopment, Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games venues, the London 2012 Olympic bid and the Safer Sports Ground Programme.

Working within the Leisure Department Jonathan was responsible for developing and delivering the District Council’s sport development and leisure facility strategy.
