Took lead on the Education, Environment, and Rural Affairs portfolios for the Welsh Conservative Group. Led policy development within each portfolio and worked to align policy with stakeholder interests. Developed a Deposit Return Scheme policy for the Group and developed the Party’s positions on animal welfare and agricultural support. In the education brief, led a small team in a successful policy creation exercise and developed new policy aimed at providing more support for brighter pupils.Represented the party to a wide range of stakeholders and engaged with key industry figures to build political consent. Have provided advice and expertise to the UK Government on issues that affect Wales. Assisted in the legislative process of the Additional Learning Needs Bill. Drafted rationalisations for the Party’s positions on amendments to the Bill and helped the whips co-ordinate Assembly Members ahead of key votes.Worked closely with the Party’s Media Team to co-ordinate the Party’s media output. Drafted press lines for the Party and produced material for major news outlets. Prepared material for Assembly Members to use both in Plenary and in Committee settings.

Tokyo, Japan

Contracted through the Japanese government's highly competitive Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) programme to teach English at Nishi, one of Japan's most prestigious state schools. Worked with teachers at Nishi to redesign their English course to include modern teaching theory. Taught and designed classes for students aged 16-18. Prepared students for applications to American universities.Elected Vice President of the first Executive Committee, and subsequently President, of TJET, an organisation representing 355 foreign teachers in Tokyo. Co-ordinated 3 sub-committees and a total of 20 individuals on networking projects, the creation of a teaching database for foreign workers in Tokyo, and the improvement of the JET programme in Tokyo. Also worked with AJET, a national representative body for teachers in Japan, to provide feedback and suggestions to the Council of Local Authorities and International Relations (CLAIR). Worked with the Tokyo Board of Education to create relevant and effective professional development courses for Tokyo teachers. Organised orientation days for new teachers in Tokyo, and organised guest speakers and presentations. Presented on three occasions, conducted Q&A sessions, and hosted on professional development courses. Additionally, invited to write and present two lectures by the Tokyo Board of Education for 200 new teachers. Also contributed to the re-design of English education in Tokyo, ahead of large-scale reforms planned for 2019. Helped to introduce communicative English to the curriculum.Participated in the Japanese government's "Cultural Discussion Initiative", which promotes intercultural exchange. Helped prepare Japanese students to educate others in Japanese history and culture ahead of the 2020 Olympics.

Worked at London's New Diorama Theatre as Co-Producer on Pall Mell Theatre Company's The Duchess of Malfi. Worked to strict deadlines, organised for prominent newspapers and reviewers to attend viewings, and helped prepare the show's press release. Successfully secured the support of the Mind in Camden charity, and worked to promote awareness of mental health through theatre.
