A mainline train driver at Southeastern Railway, operating driver-only trains on one of the country's busiest and most congested networks. I work various routes out of Orpington Depot, currently signing class 465/466, 376, and 707 traction carrying out on average 100 station stops a day whilst ensuring safety, punctuality, and customer satisfaction.I have over six years of experience in this role, which requires a high level of concentration, responsibility, and communication skills. I hold a European train driving licence issued by the Office of Rail and Road, and I have a strong knowledge of safety-critical systems, procedures, and regulations. I also buddy trainee drivers offering them support, mentoring and coaching whilst they await a driving instructor to begin their practical train handling. Before joining Southeastern Railway, I worked for British Gas as a white goods engineer and a smart energy specialist, where I gained valuable skills in fault finding, electrical safety, and customer service. I enjoy the variety and challenge of driving trains, and I am always eager to learn new skills develop my route knowledge. My goal is to deliver a safe and reliable service to the passengers and the company.
