Since December 2015 I have worked for Witherley Services gaining knowledge and experience in the Aggregates industry. My focus has been on the delivery planning although I have an understanding of the general operations within Sales and customer services too. Since completing 2 apprenticeships with Witherley I became a full time planner for the business. After gaining further experience and confidence I have most recently taken a role created for me as Logistics Compliance and Major Projects Coordinator. In this role I support the Transport Manager in ensuring our franchised fleet is up to our standard in both vehicle safety and driver competence. I also assist with incident investigation. I also am responsible for applying our disciplinary procedure where appropriate with drivers or hauliers. I keep our compliance data base up to date and manage the first deliveries for HS2 sites and other high profile jobs which is where the major projects but comes in.
