Organizational Development Intern
Tallahassee, Florida, United States
Worked with all units within the Organizational Development Team to advance and develop projects that needed additional support according to the agencies most pressing needs. Whether it was editing policy with the Policy and and Process Management unit, creating and coding new programs with the Quality Management and Support Units, or tailoring presentations with the Training Management and Design team to develop the next generation of leaders at FDOT I was always ready to lend whatever support was needed to get the job done. The following is a brief summarization of some of my contributions to the agency. • Lead writer on a white paper and initiated a pilot program (conducted interviews and created a database) for a Knowledge Management system that will help FDOT retain employee knowledge. • Revised department policies, manuals, and procedures by simplifying language and standardizing formats. • Planned and coordinated statewide interactions with other offices to facilitate learning experiences. • Ambassador for the department at recruitment events such as the FAMU/FSU Engineering Career Fair. • Developed apps through Microsoft programs to assist in automating department policies and functions. • Synthesized leadership and training materials to improve the development of future Managers at FDOT. • Identified and corrected errors in the Employee Training Database to ensure compliance for all users. • Presented new policy initiatives to the Secretary and Executive Team to gather support for development. • Promoted and enhanced the Mentorship Program to increase participation throughout the department.
