Employed to lead a team of engineers and designers for a 80 bar g Hydrogen distribution network project in the UK. Provide man-hour estimates and manpower resourcing, schedule and budget planning for FEED studies and detailed design projects. Overseeing the production of of fourteen unique HAGIs plot plans which include Pig Traps, Metering Packages, Pressure Reduction Stations (PRSs). Producing piping specifications for plant layout, hydrotesting, piping stress analysis and fabrication/erection. Performed piping stress analysis for the HAGI piping and pipelines to meet the requirements of IGEM/TD/12 to meet sustained, thermal expansion wind, fatigue load-cases and additional requirements for Hydrogen services. Preparing material specifications, valve data sheets and special piping items for Hydrogen service. Writing reports for piping stress analysis and FEED reports.

Employed to perform pipe stress analysis on new boiler plant which forms part of the existing facility at Greatham works with the aid of Caesar II. This Project involved the installation of four new Boilers to meet emission levels. Piping designed to meet the requirements of ASME B31.3, NC-3658.3 and Vendor requirements. HP steam system designed for slug loads, Boiler Feed Water piping designed for pressure surge. Each analysis proved effectiveness of pipe supports and ensured piping system will not to place any undue forces/moments onto vessels, load sensitive equipment. Verification of welded attachments.

For this role, I was employed to lead the piping/mechanical teams and also to perform piping stress analysis for a Classified Sellafield Project. Provide man-hour estimates and manpower resourcing, schedule and budget planning. Attended design/model reviews and HAZOP meetings. All piping systems are designed to meet the ASME B31.3 Code requirements when subjected to Sustained, Hydro-test, Differential Settlement and thermal expansion. The piping systems are also screened for Flow Induced Vibration (FIV) and for acoustically induced vibration (AIV) and fatigue assessments.

Employed to perform piping stress activities on the aging Dunlin Alpha platform, which is situated in the North Sea. Flow-lines designed to meet the requirements of ASME 31.3 with the aid of Caesar II 2013 R1. Flow lines designed to accommodate vertical growth of +127mm and lateral growth, due to wave motion of +/- 45mm. Fatigue assessment, flange bending moments and slug loads also included in the analysis. Part of the flow line analysis also included part of the existing facility for boundary conditions. Additional responsibilities included design substantiation reports to verify the existing facility was still acceptable.

Dana Petroleum Fpso

For this role I undertook a peer review for a brown-field FPSO, which was being designed to operate in the North Sea as part of the Western Isles Development. This was a modular design compromising water separation, gas treatment, gas compression and water injection. The design of the piping systems was compounded by the environment conditions, the stage build and by the number of interfaces between Contractors.
