I am a passionate chemist seeking a career in synthetic materials chemistry and have a strong history of optimization through a rigorous understanding of structure-property relationships between molecular structure and physical properties. Through my work with organic synthesis I have learned the importance of route optimization and the challenges with upscaling. In my experience as a Ph.D. student as well as my postdoctoral research I have consistently been a self-starter by identifying projected to solve long-standing group problems. I have fostered team-focused relationships while managing multiple projects with various collaborators.My strengths lie in solving problems by applying the scientific method, producing high quality work with attention to detail, and effectively communicating the results of my work in both written and verbal contexts.
