I am a recent graduate from the University of Arizona having graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. I have always been passionate and enthusiastic about learning, especially when it pertains to engineering. As a child in middle school I took it upon myself to learn how to build robots, at first beginning with kits and beginners books and eventually building my own small robots. I fervently pursued any opportunity to grow and expand my knowledge in the field of engineering. First I transferred high schools to attend a better engineering curriculum. Through that coursework I began an internship my senior year working in the Artificial Intelligence and Control System lab of the AME Department at the U of A. When my machine shop teacher offered to take me to an interview at a local machine shop for a job I jumped at the opportunity to expand my practical knowledge of quality and manufacturing to obtain a sense of manufacturing feasibility for use during future design work. After completing rigorous coursework aimed at honing my design and analysis skills I am continuing to expand my knowledge base applying all that I learned at a Mechanical Design Engineering Internship at Orbital ATK in Mesa, AZ. Following my internship I am excited to join a more permanent engineering team contributing with the best of my abilities to produce the best engineering solutions possible. I believe my fundamental traits of being responsible, a passionate learner, a problem solver, self-motivated, and an achiever would make me a valuable asset to any company.
