As the lead integration developer at Divido I lead the team of developers working on merchant e-commerce integrations. In this role I am responsible for a team of 5 overseeing the update and maintenance of Divido's e-commerce plugins. With experience developing payment gateways on multiple ecommerce platforms: Shopify, Magento 1 and 2, Woocommerce, Prestashop, Shopware, Zencart and OSCommerce.Part of this role has me overseeing merchant issues and client queries. Also custom integration support for large and enterprise clients, explaining how to use our API's.

For the past three years I have had an education in modern development practices. Joining a multi-skilled team of programmer’s developers and designers. Working face to face with clients and developing multiple unique and challenging applications. The vast majority of my work here has been on large backend systems with Laravel or Drupal.Agency life is fast paced and exciting, here I can be found working on Laravel, Drupal or Wordpress projects simultaneously. I could be assisting junior developers with Git or Javascript one minute and liaising directly with client’s regarding application updates the next. One of the things I enjoyed most about this project was a custom html block builder that allowed the client exceptional control over the look and feel of sections of the site.

In the scarce spare time found between jobs and contracts we are currently developing a simple solution for pubs and small businesses to simplify stock takes, allowing users to quickly search for items, count them and report on them. Without a pen and paper.

My primary role was developing core functionality for databases and mobile enabled web apps, with offline capabilities. Working with local government and voluntary community groups. I developed a small data capture application that would allow users to capture geo-located photographs from mobile devices, report on their findings in a centralized database, and email the reports directly to the council. Leveraging google apis, HTML5, jquery mobile, javascript and written in PHP.

I developed bespoke remote data capture software for multiple large clients such as Homebase and Asda. My primary responsibilities had me meeting with clients, understanding their various requirements, designing the implementation and building the remote capture and core backend functionality. Managing multiple concurrent projects seamlessly while delivering on time and on budget. I also designed and built a bespoke application for a lettings company that allowed them to capture all information required for a property inventory, which would generate a PDF report upon submission with photographs and data formatted to match their original word documents. At any point I could be found maintaining large datasets, looking for new ways of utilising captured data, optimising backend functionality, developing new tools and refining old ones. Keeping the company servers updated and secure. It was great fun.

Designing, building and maintaining the backbone of the Efesse intelligence engine. Generating multiple reports for different groups of stakeholders. Pulling complex streams of data into manageable chunks. Assisting in the development of the platform and producing results under tight deadlines. Installing new software and updating security patches across the company’s devices. I also got the Coffee. The position afforded me the opportunity of learning many new skills ranging from, JavaScript and jQuery, Linux, HTML, Apache, PHP, advanced excel and much more.
