Competency in the field of HSE especially in establishing the “I” Series for a safe work culture such as iMature and iGrow Program; enhancing management safety leadership such as iPDCA, iTalk, iOffer; iLead and i-Influence; guiding behavioural change and conducting safety behavioural assessment such as iCare, iCoach and iAssess; developing risk based management system such as iSAFE and iSAVE; leading accident investigation focusing on identifying latent causes; defining minimum safety requirements in facility design; contractor safety management focusing on contractor partnership; leading audit such as iAudit (including facility, system, behaviour, project and risk-based); conducting skill and knowledge training; and developing hazardous energy isolation systemIn addition, I have the expertise in establishing "a" safety culture for any organization having 35 years HSE working experiences in developed and developing countries. For the last 19 years, managing H&S at APAC level and working exposure in 27 countries that includes NA, Africa and Europe. Also represented China State Administration of Work Safety (now called Emergency Management Department) to assess the 25 model enterprises among all industries in China using a world-class audit protocol to guide China toward achieving their goal of zero accident. Pertaining to the model enterprise, only person to lead 2 companies to be enlisted by the government i.e. Lafarge (now renamed as Holcim) and subsequently Huaxin Cement. A regular panel to review H&S guidelines and code of practices for the China Cement Industry mandated by the Emergency Management Department of China.A certified internal Chartered Auditor (Malaysia), the only foreigner certified as a Grade 1 Safety Standardization Production Program Assessor for Plants (among 103 persons countrywide as per the updated list) and Non-Coal Mine (separate certification) by the States Administration of Work Safety China (SAWS), the only foreigner among the 34 persons (updated list) countrywide to be certified as "Safety Expert" for Building Materials Section by SAWS, and the previous Chairman for the now defunct Cement Safety Initiatives (World Business Sustainable Development Council - China). In addition, a regular speaker in safety conference and forum outside and within China including the annual SAWS Seminar for General Managers, and the annual Safety Production Technical Seminar of Domestic and Overseas Cement Industry Conference (a replacement for the initial China Cement Safety Initiatives Seminar whereby I was the initiator).
