I worked as a Process Engineer at Pfizer's COVID-19 Vaccine Formulation Facility. The initial task of this position was to assist in the final steps of validating the new facility. I'm proud to say the team was successful, and once the facility was validated and operational, my job consisted of driving production while working on the manufacturing floor. This mainly consists of using root cause analysis in real time to address any issues and minimize downtime while keeping safety and quality as the top priorities.

Nalco Water sponsored a project in the Consumer Product Manufacturing Enterprise at Michigan Tech. The objective of the project was to discover ways to reach a larger consumer base for their 3D TRASAR water treatment system. There was a research team and a build team for the unit. I was the build team lead and the first objective I worked on was researching potential industries and new uses for the system. The next step I worked on was conducting experiments to test the unit's capabilities and functionality. The last objective the team worked on was designing a portable system for potential customers to test on their process water. The sponsor was pleased with the results and chose to continue the project for another year.

This team was a part of the Consumer Product Manufacturing Enterprise at Michigan Tech. A roofing company in Marquette sponsored the team and offered the project. The objective of the project was to design and produce a roofing tile prototype using basalt fibers that will have a longer lifespan than the common asphalt shingle. The first objective I worked on was researching potential materials and processes to produce the tile. The next steps were to develop a working prototypes using polyurethane, calcium carbonate, and basalt fibers. The final objective I worked on was running tests and experiments for statistical analysis to determine weather resistance and durability of the tile. The sponsor was pleased with the results and chose to move forward with the manufacturing of the tile.
