Equinox was operating a number of failing units within London. I successfully turned them around, regaining the Government health contracts. These included a Day Program for Controlled Drinking for the Homeless, an Outreach Program to support people in their own homes and a Street Based Treatment Program for Drug Users.Responsible for recruitment, induction and performance of all staff.Wrote, implemented and reviewed unit specific & organization wide policy and procedure based on Government health & social care legislation and good practice. Introduction of quality management system to ensure project met commissioner & funder standards.Budget responsibility of $750,000 including design, implementation and review.Led on liaison with external agencies concerning performance of project & reconfiguration of project towards a better service provision.Conducted meetings to assess and tender contracts to external training providers for organization wide training programs.

Managed group of units to introduce change, build team morale and introduce minimum quality standards. Put in place measures to halt worsening quality standards and raise levels to ensure survival of units. This included an Alcohol Rehabilitation Unit, Counseling Program, Social Housing Programs, and Street Based Outreach Unit. Left to go on a pre- arranged Sabbatical.Responsible for the performance and management of 22 entry level staff & Assistant Managers.Responsible for a budget of $1,500,000.Negotiated the contract for management of a drug testing unit within the area.Managed the rehabilitation unit through its first Quality Management review, to a successful conclusion.Introduced unit wide systems of reporting and accountability.Managed a training package for volunteer counselors.

Started the Social Housing and Outreach Program, initially with one unit, until it grew into 11 differing projects, spread across the city of London, specializing in substance abuse and mental health.Responsible for the recruitment and management of 2 Deputy Managers and 16 staff.Produced quality management system in line with new Government legislation to monitor all project activity.Piloted the Government Quality Management System & was the first unit to successfully pass & become accredited.Wrote, implemented and reviewed new policy in line with Government legislation.Designed budget for each housing unit, monitoring performance throughout the financial year, to produce overall budget of $2,000,000.Liaised with on site contractors on all aspects of building management to build housing projects to specifications produced by our organization.Liaised with partner agencies concerning all aspects of housing management, rent arrears and eviction & abandonment proceedings.
