Through my ability and management skills, we implemented a payroll system, hired support staff, automated our bills, built new websites for marketing and promotion, launched an app, produced a weekly podcast, and raised the necessary funds to grow in a post pandemic culture. I effectively oversee all ministries of the church. We started with no staff, and now there are the following departments with leadership in place that I oversee: Children’s Ministry, Senior Adult Ministry, Young Adult and Youth Ministry, Worship and Creative Arts Ministry, and a Missions Committee. Our Missions Statement is to “Love people to Life by cultivating moments that build real relationships, real faith, and a purpose filled life.” I guide this mission through staff development, which includes hiring and training new staff. I am consistently mentoring and vision casting as I empower and inspire leaders (both paid but also volunteer) to be their best. The majority of our leaders are volunteer.I serve as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and effectively manage the financials of the church. I Negotiate vital partnerships to host a K-12 Montessori School on our church campus. I Collaborate with Georgia Department of Education to secure Government Grant funds that benefit our local community. I have effectively overseen major renovations to bring the church facilities up to code to secure permits and certificates of occupancy with local government agencies and municipalities. I have Served the community through consistent and relevant teaching and preaching, coaching, mentoring, counseling, outreach, hospital visitations, taking care of shut ins, weddings, funerals, special outreach events and services.

I was the Department Head over Middle School, High School and College and Career Ministries. I hired, trained and developed a team to successfully grow each age group of the organization. I thrive in multi staff and multi departmental structure with a team approach to success. In my tenure, the Department grew from averaging 65 students gathering weekly to averaging 350 students weekly.Fund Raising and inspiring generosity has always been one of the main reasons for success in the work I have been privileged to do. For 4 years in a row we were the #1 Student ministry in our denomination in both size (attendance) and generosity, fundraising and giving more than $40,000 to Speed the Light missions in each calendar year.My wife and I also co-founded Columbus Leadership Campus, a ministry training school and fully accredited college experience for young adults. This experience proves my ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at the same time since founding the School of Ministry was above and beyond my original job description. We collaborated with the Board of Education at Point University and created a “CLC Campus Board” to create something out of nothing and to this day each semester students are graduating with a college degree and being hired to do work that they love in vocational ministry and marketplace ministry. I was the liaison and key leader to establish an educational and financial partnership between North Highland Church and Point University so that CLC could be an official extension campus of the Southern Association of Colleges Accredited University.

Griffin Georgia

Assistant Director of Valor School of Leadership-I was the Site Director of Southwestern Assemblies of God University’s extension site at Griffin First Assembly of God. I trained students in the specialty areas of youth ministry, and pulpit ministry emphasizing hermeneutics and homiletics and altar care ministry. I coordinated all students scheduling from day-to-day in the 6-days-a-week internship to empower the life and vibrancy of a fast paced church of 4,200 active members. I was the liaison between the church and the Assemblies of God District Offices and between Southwestern University and the Valor School of Leadership. I oversaw Student housing and problem solving within a wide range of student life issues. I administered standards of punctuality, interpersonal and personal conduct, monitored social media, and academics to insure a high level of excellence from every student.Department Head and Senior High Youth Pastor-Managing within a Multi-Staff, Multi-Departmental structure, Relentless Student Ministries impacted a community of over 450 young people in the Griffin/Spalding County region. I supervised the Middle School Ministry, the Young Adults Ministry, and had direct ownership of the Senior High Youth Ministry. I was able engage students and leaders within our organization to raise over $150,000 for missions in less than three years overcoming the obstacle of a declining economic environment in South Atlanta. I developed partnerships within the city and county school systems and helped play a significant part of the Griffin High School Football team winning a State Championship through chaplaincy, public Speaking/Preaching, Teaching and Mentoring, Leadership Development. Other responsibilities include fundraising, community partnerships, Youth Camps, Missions Trips, leadership within the GA District Youth Ministries Network, budget development and recruitment of prospect students.
