Established Designcraft, P.A. in early 2010 as a new, forward thinking design firm, built upon expertise and skills developed over 14 years of practice. That experience includes extensive work in the urban environment, including urban residential, transit station design, and park design; as well as experience with a myriad of complex mixed use projects, transit corridor development and healthcare development. This experience provides our firm with an extensive set of skills and a breadth of knowledge not normally found in a small design firm.Our current work involves master planning a large scale TOD along the Red Line Transit Corridor in Charlotte, a number of commercial development renovations throughout the region, and several rezonings.

•Defined and maintained the design quality and graphic standards of work produced throughout the firm. •Provided design guidance throughout the life of a multitude of office projects from inception to completion and installation•Lead public workshops, community meetings and presentations to various stakeholder groups and organizations•Introduced and evaluated new software, new techniques and work processes to advance the design ability of the firm•Trained and mentored staff, reviewed resumes, conducted interviews, and hired new staff •Created and lead the Design Team, which was a team of highly focused individuals with niche talents and skills that was charged with advancing the design and graphic capability of the firm.•Provided design concepts and direction to each studio within the firm for a wide range of project types, including: Campus landscape master plans, Master-planned mixed-use communities and Vision plans, Urban open space development, parks and streetscapes, Healthcare related work including campus landscape mater plans, therapy gardens and campus landscape plans, Corridor studies, office and industrial development andResidential projects including single family subdivisions, urban infill and high density housing•Responsible for writing, reviewing contracts •Day to day management of the Design Team
