• Planning, coordinating and directing day-to-day programs and activities for efficient and effectiveprobation services. You will ensure services are consistent with the legal mandate of relevant legislationand in accordance with policies, standards, and procedural guidelines.• Initiating and negotiating contractual agreements for the provision of a full range of offender servicesthrough provincial transfer payment programs, fee for service and related contractual arrangements.• Identifying, analyzing and managing contentious issues at the area level such as allegations,complaints, complex cases, media attention, and public safety concerns.• Providing expertise and advice to staff and stakeholders regarding the interpretation of legislation andpolicy and their application to complex or contentious cases (e.g. enforcement, mental health, specialneeds funding and high profile offenders) and the provision of programs and services for adults andyoung offenders.• Ensuring the establishment and maintenance of the case management service delivery model withinassigned area of responsibility including assigning cases, providing direction, conducting case reviews,and modelling appropriate case management approach.• Providing leadership by participating on numerous corporate projects, task forces, and newgovernment initiatives
