As an IT Intern at Nucraft Furniture, I assisted the IT Team in their day-to-day operations. This included answering tickets submitted to the Help Desk, answering phone calls, configuring and deploying new hardware for users, as well as performing Windows 10 and other software updates periodically.In addition to these duties, I also worked on several projects during my time at Nucraft. I researched, configured, and deployed Amazon Firesticks set to display company updates in 4 breakrooms. Additionally, I performed several building-wide WiFi heatmap surveys (before and after network upgrades), providing valuable information for the IT Systems Administrator.

As an IT Support Specialist at Valley Truck Parts, I provided lower level technical support for the organization. During the day, I worked through submitted Help Desk tickets, answered phone calls, and provided in-person and remote support. When needed, I performed limited network administration (this included configuring devices to use the proper VLAN, installing new network hardware, and monitoring branch connectivity). Each week, I would check-in with the various departments and branches throughout the organization, recording technical issues and user requests to be addressed.Beyond the typical day-to-day tasks, I worked on numerous projects as a Support Specialist. I ran and terminated Category 5e ethernet lines to new work areas, in addition to limited fiber optic pulls. For several of the satellite branches, I assisted the IT Director to deploy TV carts to be used as a large Skype platform for company meetings, I assembled TV carts, mounted the TVs, and configured small-form-factor PCs to run Skype.

As a Unified Communications and Collaboration Intern at Gordon Food Service, I assisted the UCC Team with several projects during my internship. I arrived at GFS in the midst of an organization-wide transition from Microsoft Office to Google G Suite, and assisted my Team in providing support for users as they transitioned between products.In addition to this transition, I assisted my Team in overhauling conference rooms to use Google Hangouts-enabled hardware (Chromebox for Meetings), before performing additional upgrades unassisted. For remote Distribution Centers and Offices, I assembled installation kits with many of the required items and created setup documentation for the Field Technicians to use to upgrade their conference rooms. To assist internal users, I created both video and textual documentation to reference when using the new equipment. When requested, I also provided A/V Support for users in several large-size conference rooms. This involved setting up the hardware in the conference rooms, in addition to joining and monitoring the meetings (these meetings were generally held on GoToWebinar, UberConference, and Google Hangouts).

As a Hardware Department Morning Stocker at Menards, my main responsibilities were to stock shelves with product from incoming freight pallets and overstocked pallets, and to provide guest service. In addition to these responsibilities, I also helped to maintain the cleanliness of the Department, dusting off product and cleaning my work area when finished.
