Jonathan grew up in Buffalo, New York with an inquisitive nature and a knack for creating; always drawing, painting, designing and building with whatever he could get his hands on. Through the years he has honed his skills and developed a strong visual-spatial prowess and design ideology while studying the arts and graphic design at Buffalo State College and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. It's his passion for design, love for the outdoors, and desire to bring life to a space that has led him to Colorado and the practice of Landscape Architecture where he received his Masters degree from the University of Colorado Denver and has continued to practice for the last several years.Jonathan's intent as a designer is to create spaces that blend the natural and the built environments while addressing a range of issues that ultimately bring people to a higher quality of life. With a holistic approach to design, an environmental ethic, and a sound understanding of Landscape Architecture, the basis of his work focuses on the essence of a place; the environmental and socioeconomic forces acting on it and the contextual connections it has to its surroundings. It's his firm belief that a responsible design engages people, responds to conditions, poses solutions, and is viable.
