Crisis And Residential Recovery Therapist
CurrentI practice individual and group psychotherapy at Pathways CRRU East, which houses a crisis unit and a 28-day residential recovery program, from a variety of approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also conduct risk assessments and provide treatment recommendations for clients in crisis of all ages. These are conducted in-person at our crisis unit location and via telehealth as consultations with our contracted hospitals. Finally, since receiving my LPA license at the end of June 2023, I have conducted numerous involuntary hospitalization (202A) assessments, which demand vast knowledge of mental health disorders and their medical/substance-related rule-outs, strong assessment skills, thorough understanding of the related legal processes, and the utmost attention to detail.
