Key achievements have included: • Securing $2bn of private equity funding in 2022 in support of an attempt to acquire the surgical division of a major, international healthcare business. • Securing highly prized NHS Supply Chain nationwide framework contracts in 2016, 2020 and 2022 after developing a surgical glove product range from scratch, overseeing product development, clinical evaluation, packaging design and manufacture, all supported by a strong-brand ethos on product efficiency and cost saving with improved clinical outcomes, resulting in sales of over 56 million gloves across the NHS. • Developing effective supply-chain partnerships with strategic manufacturing partners in Malaysia, Indonesia and China, capable of delivering products with key performance advantages at reduced costs.• Engineering strategic partnerships with Bunzl Healthcare and DCC / Squadron Healthcare, extending to provision of warehousing, order processing and logistics support together with further investments in stock.• Development of exceptional levels of brand awareness in a limited timescale as a result of unique and clear positioning, an effective marketing strategy and generation of significant press coverage, including adoption by the Royal College of Surgeons as a result of displacing the dominant, market-leading product from a 30 year relationship.

Reporting to the Research & Development Director, oversaw day-to-day management of a wide number of research projects focussed on the development of a range of surgical medical devices from conceptual design to manufacture.Key achievements included:• Developed, validated and delivered new manufacturing process based at the manufacturing site in Kulim, Malaysia, facilitating range of new surgical glove products.

Reporting to the Technical Director, oversaw research and development of new products and engineering solutions in accordance with strategic sales targets.Key achievements included:• Designed, engineered and delivered innovative high performance combat textile for Canadian Department of Defence and UK MOD.• Developed a novel, ultra-high abrasion resistant coating in partnership with a multinational technical materials company. Patent filed January 2004.• Successfully co-ordinated commercialisation of a new textile dyeing process technology, developed in 2001, with a multi-national chemical company.

Reporting to the New Product Development Manager, held responsibility for the development of novel innovative technologies with respect to new product development and improved process efficiency. Key achievements included:• Developed a new dyeing process technology, allowing reductions of dye quantities used in processing in the order of 50%. Patent application filed July 2002.
