As a Quality Assurance Specialist at COPAN Diagnostics, a leading manufacturer of medical devices and diagnostic products, I contribute to ensuring the quality and safety of the products that serve the healthcare industry and the public. I apply my knowledge and skills in quality control, problem solving, and cGMP practices to perform tests, inspections, and audits on raw materials, finished products, and processes, and to document and report any non-conformities, deviations, or issues. I also support the continuous improvement of the quality management system and the compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements. With a Bachelor's degree in Biomanufacturing from MiraCosta College, I have a solid foundation in the principles and applications of biotechnology, biochemistry, as well as the techniques and equipment used in bioprocessing, fermentation, purification, and analysis. I also hold a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, which demonstrates my ability to apply lean and six sigma methodologies to improve quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. I have over two years of work experience in quality control roles, including as a Quality Control Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific and a Quality Control Lead Technician at Applied Membranes, Inc. In these positions, I gained valuable experience in conducting and supervising various quality control tests and methods, such as HPLC, ELISA, PCR, and membrane filtration, as well as in developing and validating quality control protocols and procedures, and in training and mentoring new staff. I am passionate about biomanufacturing and quality control, and I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies that can enhance my performance and the quality of the products I work with.
