Currently working on Crossrail West Outer Project. My role is focused mainly on the installation of conventional piles for OLE equipment.

Currently working on Nexus Tyne & Wear Metro as a site engineer. Roles include setting out for major renewal and drainage works. Assisting in the planning for upcoming blockades, this will include planning the logistics of machinery and materials. Ensuring all track and drainage goes into design specification. Using various surveying equipment such as Trimble GPS, Total Station and Leica Grade Laser.

North West Electrification Phase 2

I'm currently a Trainee Site Engineer for Balfour Beatty Rail on the North West Electrification Project from Liverpool to Manchester. Mainly focusing on the installation of concrete and piled foundations for Overhead Line Equipment. My main role on site is to ensure all installed foundations conform to the standards set by Network Rail. Another part of my role is collecting As Built information from foundations using various Trimble products. This allows me to check the foundations against the design. I have also taken part in the setting out of foundations across the project. Whilst working here I have also been able to work on Balfour Beatty's innovative concrete TRAMM. Whilst on this project I have achieved OLEC 2 and gained even more experience of the actual overhead system. I have also had the chance to install bespoke foundation such as the anchor portals in the Huyton and Roby area of NWEP Phase 2.

Nexus Tyne & Wear Metro

My role on Nexus Tyne & Wear Metro was as a Trainee Site Engineer, whilst there I was involved in the planning of the 23 day blockade that took place in August 2013. The blockade was a 2.5km plain renewal between South Gosforth and Old Jesmond Station. Whilst on the project I picked up many new skills including the use of Trimble Total Station. I mainly assisted and shadowed the experienced Site Engineer during the Blockade with the dozing of the formation and bottom ballast. I also assisted with the tamping of the track and the installation of new Track Drainage.
