In 2002 I started as a Purification manufacturing technician working for Stryker Biotech in West Lebanon NH. As a technician, I became proficient in buffer formulations, operating chromatography skids, column packing, viral filtration, and micro filtration. I have been cross trained with the facilities department assisting with maintenance of major plant systems like WFI, purified water and steam. In 2016 I became a supervisor overseeing the buffer formulation team that supports both the Cell Culture and Purification processes. This was a great introduction to becoming a supervisor because it taught me the importance of communication between supporting departments. In 2019, I became the Manufacturing Supervisor for the Upstream and Downstream Purification processes. As a process supervisor, I work with many other departments coordinating process related events such as start up, packing, calibrations, process scheduling etc...I also manage deviations that occur and work with our quality team to address the issue and find a solution. In 2021, I left big pharma and joined a smaller company at Bio X Cell. I was at a point in my life/career where work life balance became more of a priority. So far I would say that I found a place that offers that and I’m excited about what the future holds for me. Throughout my career, I’ve been a team leader and someone who has always looked for continuing improvement and team success. I value my teams experience and opinions and consider them the true experts. The array of jobs that I have performed within a biopharmaceutical facility has given me a diverse skillset that can be applied to many different fields.
