Specifically, my team was responsible for designing and constructing new/replacement NASA cryogenic research facilities that were displaced by the new runway.Managed various aspects of the planning, design and construction of replacement NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) research facilities in support of the $1.4 billion Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CHIA) Expansion Program. The $104 million NASA GRC “South 40” Relocation Project included the design and construction of an altitude rocket engine test stand, liquid hydrogen and oxygen cryogenic turbomachinery and fuel densification test cells, a high-vacuum space and launch pressure test facility equipped for testing cryogens, a pneumatic pressure test cell, and associated support buildings including machine shops and control rooms. Managed a $7.2 million construction contract for a Central Chemical Storage Facility (CCSF) at NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) as part of the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CHIA) Expansion Program. The CCSF was designed for the safe storage and handling of chemicals and hazardous materials. The facility featured a fire sprinkler and a water/spill containment system, hazbin storage containers with CO2 fire suppression, and an elaborate fire alarm system utilizing gas and smoke detection.Developed a Utility Master Plan for Port Columbus International Airport (PCIA) located in Columbus, Ohio. The plan included an assessment of current utility usage and capacity, and an estimate of future demand in an effort to determine the scope of utility upgrades or relocations required to accommodate the airport expansion Master Plan. Plan involved the construction of a new midfield terminal, parking garage, and hotel and conference center. Utilities in the study included potable water, sanitary sewer, natural gas, electric power, and telecommunications.
