Responsible for the daily operations of the department as it relates to administration, departmental strategy, and new initiatives. Leads administrative support to ensure that programs within the department are delivered in an effective, equitable, and efficient manner.

Oversee the Department of Family and Support Services 100+ person administrative division covering the areas of fiscal management and budgeting, human resources, contracts, information technology, facility management, grants administration, and fiscal and programmatic auditing. As a part of department's three person executive team, lead the overall direction of the department's efforts to provide quality human service delivery by maximizing the $465 million budget consisting of primarily Federal and State grant funding.

Develop and manage the Department of Family and Support Services $300+ million dollar budget including over $270 million dollars in grant funding from over 30 different grants. Oversee a staff of 41 employees in the departments financial division.

Financial officer for an environmentally focused non-profit partnership between the City of Chicago and local industry managing grant assest totalling over $6.5 million

Manage the financial accounting and budgetary functions in support of the Bureau of Sanitation's operations. Responsibilities include developing the bureau's $55 million annual budget, developing policy and procedure recommendations to ensure sound fiscal management of operations, overseeing a staff of two in the procurement of all goods and services utilized by the bureau, and acting as the primary author for all contract detailed specifications associated with the bureau.

Researched, developed, and ultimately implemented the City's current residential recycling programs providing recycling to 600,000 homes. This included developing the operational procedures, contracts, and outreach materials and strategy necessary to launch the programs.

Developed and implemented a mobile recycling buy-back program for Chicago's public housing residents. Oversaw a staff of 15 people focused both on weeking collections and program growth.
