Worked with a team of 25 tumor immunologists and 10 clinicians/nurses to conduct translational research. I specialized in the preclinical testing of cancer immunotherapeutic agents using mouse models and in vitro T cell functional assays. These therapies included cancer vaccines, a T cell checkpoint inhibitor, and an immunocytokine. This work has helped.

Worked with a team of 10 basic scientists to study exosome biogenesis, protein trafficking, and retroviral assembly. I identified a novel secreted vesicle subset in the human Jurkat T cell line, and generated over 100 gene expression constructs for protein trafficking studies.

Evanston, IL

Analyzed the effects of culture conditions on human T cell growth rate and gene transcription. The goal of these studies was to improve protocols for growing human T cells ex vivo for adoptive transfer into cancer patients.
