To really be an excellent software engineer, it's important to stay up to date on new technologies and design patterns, and I am always looking for new and innovative tools to accomplish my daily tasks. As a software engineer, I help design and architect new services and applications using modern design patterns and principles. Using Git and Azure Devops, I review PR's from other developers and help manage and merge branches for several repositories. I assist the team lead in managerial duties and help mentor new team members and interns. As a developer, I am full stack with a slight preference for backend utilities such as Web APIs, WCF services, and microservices. I have a special interest in designing, writing, and maintaining unit tests using different mocking and stubbing frameworks. For frontend development, I have experience with HTML, Javascript, Vue.js, Winforms, WPF, and others. In my personal time, I enjoy woodworking and board games (and as such am really excited about a new game coming out called Woodcraft!) and any activity where I can work with my hands to try and create something new.
