I have had the great privilege of specializing in youth & young adult ministry for over 15 years. Particularly I've engaged in inter-cultural, inter-ethnic, & inter-religious settings. I currently minister to students from all over the world in Irvine California. Previously I worked with international & American university students in San Diego California, Tucson Arizona, & Logan Utah. As part of my training I spent the summers of 2015 & 2017 assisting the Navigators campus ministry in Tokyo Japan & spending the summer of 2019 working as a teaching lead for an international student training program at the Navigators headquarters for students from 20 different countries. I was also required to function in an inter-religious capacity, in my time in Utah I was required to gain a certificate in Latter Day Saint theology from the local LDS Institute of Religion. As a side note, I'm currently also a brown belt in Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan Karate! Previously I graduated from Veritas International University with a Magna Cum Laude degree in Theological studies. In my undergrad I studied extensively to be able to communicate effectively through writing. During my 7 years in undergrad & graduate school I worked as a volunteer youth ministry leader for junior & high school students, including serving as that church's Youth Ministry Intern for three summers. During my graduate student years I worked in three separate part-time positions & gained a greater understanding of life in the working world, which has complemented my role as a minister. One of those positions was as a substitute teacher, where I gained distinction for reliability & was promoted, along with receiving letters of recommendation. I have served as a guest preacher & lecturer for multiple multi-ethnic churches, youth conferences, & an undergraduate Bible College. My position has required me to have excellent listening skills; to be a learner, a leader, & an effective communicator. I've also needed to be aware of inter-cultural differences & others' needs; all the while exercising discernment in Biblical convictions & historic Protestant Christian theology. As of 2022 I transferred to the International student ministry Bridges International, to work alongside my wonderful wife Nancy in the same profession & in 2023 we will be expecting our first child! I am so grateful to the Lord for all of the life experiences he's given me & I can't wait to see what he does next.
