Explored issues of urban greenhouse gas emissions using small field-deployable ground-based spectrometers, Bruker EM27/SUNs. Refined algorithms for retrieval of CO2 and CH4. Organized and led international teams in field campaigns in Indianapolis, IN, San Francisco, CA, Boston, MA, and Munich, Germany. Provided validation measurements for OCO-2 and GOSAT.

Halifax, Canada Area

Commissioned a high spectral resolution ground-based Fourier transform spectrometer in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Investigating issues of airborne pollution transport with a focus on the dynamics and chemical evolution of biomass burning plumes.Developed software for an open-source high-precision solar tracker system -- the Community Solar Tracker. System is capable of tracking the solar disc with less than 10 arcsecond scatter (1 sigma).

Coordinated and taught the laboratory component of Phyc 1300/1310, an algebra-based introductory physics course aimed at students in the life sciences. Taught 6 sessions of ~30 students, each meeting 5 times during the semester. Co-supervised 7 TAs.
