Associate Failure Analysis Engineer
Conducted over 2000 investigations of returned drug delivery devices. Each investigation relied upon functional knowledge of device sub-assemblies as well as the ability to interpret device data. The purpose of each investigation was to establish if the returned product functioned as intended or if any defects/damages Impacted operation. After conducting a thorough investigation, any and all findings were captured within the EQMSDespite no prior training in electrical engineering, I taught myself how to read the wiring schematics for all product families. As a result of my findings the testing process was changed to accommodate a PCBA test protocol.Created a lean software quality testing process. After observing breakdowns in communication between developers and other cross-functional teams, I leveraged the Agile environment to remedy the disconnects. After changing and reorganizing the interface to better align with the process, Agile became the source of truth where enhancements could be captured, prioritized, and documented. Recommended logics and UI enhancements to meet the needs of end users.Conducted a deep dive into the device software protocols to gain better insight as to how certain alarms are triggered to better orient the investigation process.Met with EU partners to establish international product return routes. Based on information gathered from various personnel, I built logistics flows that mapped the country-specific B2B and B2C interactions for all North American and European Markets.
