My role at UK Cycling Events is a very broad one that covers multiple areas of the business. My contribution delivers a good customer experience while increasing sales and supporting my colleagues. Some of my responsibilities are listed below.Responsible for UK Cycling Events website, both developing and maintaining as well as updating content. This covers everything you would expect from functionality and design to speed and search engine optimisation.Manage and develop the UKCE Shop, which is now on the Shopify platform. I look after the stock levels, reporting, development and functionality.Create and distribute the route maps and event information for 80+ events.Communicate with riders pre and post event.Manage and distribute the post-event results via our times section on the site.Create signage for the route including directional, warning and caution signs.Create adverts and graphics for our site and third parties to help promote the events.Design event brands and logos.Capture and create event preview and summary videos for promotional and entertainment use.Take photographs of event participants both at the venue and while cycling the course.Manage and maintain our customer database while enforcing data protection best practises and security.Administer the UK Cycling Events infrastructure such as email, apps and storage for all staff members.Develop and maintain the staff intranet, giving my colleagues an easy place to locate company documentation, contacts and information about upcoming events.Administer all social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google Plus, YouTube and Strava.Analyse and interpret website data via Google Analytics to understand and improve upon site performance and traffic conversion.

Continue to develop, manage and edit VolksWorld, Camper&Bus, VWt and The VolksWorld Show web sites.Manage and expand our social presence across Facebook, twitter, Instagram and the VolksWorld forum. Design and develop a new digital magazine in the IPC portfolio.The main goal here is to continue the quality set by my predecessor but to also move it forward. The first step is taking it away from flash and producing a more universally accessible digital magazine as well as deploying it on the iTunes app store.During this time I also got to help develop interactive magazines for NME, Uncut and Nuts titles.
