I am now branching my skills into ServiceNow. I'm also the primary SME on Microsoft 365 Apps (Office) in our environment, which involves evaluating changes and updates ahead of their arrival in our chosen update channel, coordinating the rollout of these updates to our internal end user computing, communications and leadership teams, and spearheading regression testing against both the Office suite and our various add-ins and customizations. This also entails providing support as needed to our amazing lawyers and business services personnel.All this happens while I am still managing our legacy Cherwell implementation and the contracted team that assists in supporting it, and I am also active in the care and feeding of out Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other technologies.

I am an admin, and/or serve as a product owner of several Microsoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint Online, Stream, and Power BI, and a host of other technologies, including in-house financial systems, application servers, and our custom SharePoint intranet—too much to mention it all here. In my project work I aim for the ideal balance of precision and speed. I'm a go-to SME by internal stakeholders for several products and processes; it isn't uncommon to work directly with personnel all the way up to senior management. I'm equally comfortable with both systems work and assisting our internal customers. I believe strongly in empowering users through training and providing excellent customer service.I've also picked up some analysis experience and project coordination work; this has been everything from updating our core technical product documentation system to overseeing custom code testing around product updates and system migrations. Since joining King & Spalding, I've helped enhance our documentation by making several operations manuals, improved our security compliance by overseeing our team's remediation efforts, and and of course done all this while keeping up with the day-to-day back end operations inherent in my role.

In this role I served as a systems administrator, and the sole database administrator for a number of application servers and SQL 2000 and 2005 database instances. I started as a Network Technician and moved to Configuration Management, but in truth I was a "jack of all trades", wearing many hats. I improved our change control process, administered a number of interesting technologies including the back-end of our Microsoft Dynamics SL environment, and performed maintenance and troubleshooting of everything from our legacy optical imaging system to our Cisco switches. I implemented many new applications, from ordering bare servers all the way through the final install and configuration of their software. We also had to work with some fairly advanced data ETL from our legacy AS/400 system, and I developed SQL Server Integration Services packages as well. The name of the game was adapting to new technologies and products. During this time I was voted by my colleagues as Person of the Year.

I cut my teeth with systems administration at Bennett International Group. This was a great team to get started with out of college. My subgroup in IT was the only one doing both server-side work and help desk support. As is common with small teams, the daily flow of tasks were fast-paced and demanded flexibility in job function. I'd find myself troubleshooting a network and traffic issue one moment, and the next assisting an executive user deskside. Our environment was mixed Windows and Mac, which meant I needed to stay on top of two completely different ecosystems. It was here I gained familiarity with Active Directory, user policies, and other windows networking principles.I left having helped improve the overall back-end systems architecture, including establishing a co-location for our servers.

During my closing years in college, I worked at Staples in electronic sales. I put an emphasis on customer service, and for my efforts received the All Star Award (a district level citation for excellence), and employee of the month for September 2000. In addition to sales, I performed inventory management, special ordering, and purchase orders.

(And summer 2002, as an intern) I had two roles at CCSU. As a technical analyst, I worked primarily with the students and faculty, providing systems support, including Windows 2000 Domain and associated network resources (network printing, etc.). CCSU had undertaken a ground-breaking effort to distribute laptops to all students; this had never been done when I started in 1999. In addition to being a technical analyst, I also served as a Continuing Education Instructor on many weekends. I taught MS Office Programs and Windows to typical class sizes of three to fourteen students.
