Managing the Clinical Supply Chain for a portfolio of global clinical studies, across all phases, within a drug development programme. Lead cross functional Study Drug Delivery Teams and representing these teams at a R&D Programme Supply Chain Team. Work in collaboration with customer functions to influence and manage demand, ensuring supplies are delivered effectively and consistently, but balancing the speed, quality and cost with respect to agreed levels of risk.Formulate a comprehensive forecast for drug product demand by understanding and translating Clinical Study Protocols. Taking the understanding to seek and identify innovative and flexible supply chain solutions, capable of supporting multiple studies within a programme. Work with external contract partners to develop a suitable pack design and review the technical elements of the outsourcing contract. Manage multiple suppliers to ensure on time delivery of Clinical Trial Product and validated computer systems to help with study drug management for large global studies. Assist in the design and building a global forecasting and demand planning tool and implementing it in a harmonised manner across all study management sites. Actively participate in a number of the other continuous improvement projects with the group to further aid effective working practices and procedures.

Recruited onto a Graduate program which involved a rotation period around several key functions within the company. The areas included Project Management, Production, Pre-production, Quality and Distribution. Each rotation allowed me time to learn the job role in each area and undertake objectives in each specific area. Upon completion, I transitioned to a Project Management role. The main purpose of my role was to manage Clinical Trial supplies for a number of clients. Ensuring that pre-defined targets were met, while maintaining a high standard of quality and customer satisfaction. Regular interactions with companies involved in other aspects of Clinical Trials (IRT, CRO’s) during the initiation, maintenance and closing of clinical trials on a local to international basis. I worked for extended periods of time in a US office of Aptuit, taking on a number of additional projects at short notice to help maintain service commitments.Responsibility for developing global procedures and finding the best practice across all sites.Successfully completed the ILM Certificate in First Line Management as part of the graduate program and line managed 3 other Project Managers.
