Previously based on the Brierley Hill Sustainable Access Network, a government funded project to improve traffic flow around Brierley Hill. The role included work on reinforced concrete structures, roadworks, earthworks and traffic management.

Responsible for the delivery of the Huyton Junction Remodelling, Tattenhall Ground Frame and Cofton Junction S&C renewal projects. On site duties include surveying and machine control with the Trimble ATS system, geometry and ALC tamping, stressing of S&C and plain line, relaying with various plant including PEMs/LEMs and Kirow Crane. Office duties include production of method statements, work plans, lifting plans, bar charts and target costs. Additional responsibilities included managing of two assistants, leading technical duties on site and handing back projects in accordance with the Network Rail AMP.

Graduate placement as a permanent-way technical engineer based in Crewe and Stoke. Gained general experience in permanent-way activities including reballasting, relaying, stressing and tamping. Projects delivered in this role include Lancaster North, Lancaster South and involvement in the Basford Hall project. Ten month placement in Stoke Maintenance Depot to gain experience in rail maintenance.
