My main duty as a referee is to ensure safety and enforce fair play. I am in charge of keeping time, providing a game report to league officials, and leading the assistant referees in officiating the game. I have to assess fouls and penalties, stop or terminate a game due to risk factors, discipline players with yellow or red cards to maintain order in the match, and order coaches or parents to leave sidelines if they are interfering with the play or not conducting themselves properly.
