My duties are to support the Sales Office and identify new business with the view to building long term meaningful relations with both existing and new Customers in the Midlands area. Rayburn Plastics have 60 years of experience in a vast range of Precision Engineering of both Metals and Plastics, all through to Final Assemblies. Industries we typically serve are Aerospace, Power Generation, Electronics, Instrumentation and Food Processing Equipment.

Supporting the Production Office in terms of realising work to be manufactured to fulfil Customer requirements.

My main duties include Quoting for new parts designed for both the Aerospace and Commercial industries. My role covers analysing drawings and technical specifications to support the accuracy of a detailed quotation. Providing information that meets contract review at AS9100 Rev C quality accreditation. Having the knowledge of outside processes and material specifications is also key to this role.

Manufacturing of light components for the Jewellery Industry, I use Toolroom Machinery to maintain Jigs and Fixtures for the Production Department. Where necessary set various Pneumatic Power Presses used in Secondary Operations. Manufacture various Tooling for the Production Department. Responsible for producing my own parts in Stainless Steel and Titanium. Set and monitor special purpose machinery. Patrol inspect parts made in Production Department.

I have taken the opportunity to rekindle my experience as a Skilled Machinist/Toolmaker, Manufacturing Precision Machined Tooling Parts for the Automotive Industry namely for the likes of Jaguar Land Rover and Toyota. A variety of Parts are required to keep the Production Lines going with Tooling for Machine Tools used in the manufacture of Steering and Suspension Components.* Make various Precision Tooling Components from Tool Steels.* Skilled and Versatile Milling Machinist.* Efficient in Conversational Programming.* Time Served and have experience in Machine Tool Disciplines.* Manufactured Machine Tool Parts for ZF Lemforder. Secured the position of Quality Manager to focus primarily on getting the Quality Management system back on track as it had lapsed in the last 6 months. Rubbernek Fittings Ltd is part of a group of companies whom have a Quality Systems Manager who unfortunately cannot afford to give the company any more of his time hence the reason I am here. For the Directors I have compiled an overview report as to determine the best way forward, what is more apparent is to bring in measures, some of which I have already introduced to improve procedures which go over and above the ISO9001 Quality Management system.

Contacted by my UK Sales Manager from Remote Control Ltd with a view to selling similar products that I sold back in 2006-2008 namely Actuated Valve Packages. A home based role split between Customer visits and preparing soft print Quotations. Customers are usually technical staff from non-retail organisations, such as Valve Manufacturers or stockists, end users in the Process, Petro Chemical or Utilities market.To ensure clients' and their own company's needs are met, I liaise regularly with the management team and colleagues within Inside Sales who are responsible for providing official quotation support. Unfortunately due to the economic downturn which continues to damper any realistic chance of real sales the company decided to introduce a redundancy programme, therefore the decision was taken to terminate my employment.

Working for the above company achieving sales objectives from both inside and outside selling. Supplying spares for parts for coolers including gaskets, header plugs, electric motors, fans, fan rings, bearing sets and shaft assemblies, pulleys, drive belts etc. Also my duties include the sale of charge air coolers mainly for Diesel Engines and tube stacks supplied by GEA group companies in Europe. I sell parts to many countries across the globe, mainly in the Middle East and offshore petrochemical, refinery onshore. Target sales for 2008 - £42,000 per month set out by SGTPL for spares alone, general leasing with Technical Engineers and procurement managers to help me achieve those targets. It is also my duty to update FPAL, EIC DataStream and Website details when required.Establishing new customers for all company products. This involves some cold calling and the use of other communication methods to generate leads enquiries and generally improve the visibility of the company and its products.

Having secured my position as a Sales Engineer I started to feel at home knowing the skills that I have attained over the years would stand me in good practice for this position. My typical daily duties involve order entering using Sage software raising customer order acknowledgments and supplier purchase orders. Apart from my own admin input I would solve solutions to clients with valves that needed to be actuated and that would also include data sheet interpretation for projects that involved controlled valve activity.Also a reasonable level of technical product knowledge relating to ancillaries was required as I get asked many questions not only at enquiry stage but also as part of our customer care programme.Working for a Swedish owned company that was acquired by Rotork PLC which resulted in the Sales office in Rugeley having to close. Unfortunately we were all made redundant. Whilst I worked for RCL we sold under licence Pneumatic Actuators that were manufactured in Sweden and Electric Actuators that were sourced worldwide. Supplying the Valve markets mainly serving offshore and petrochemical industries. Pneumatic and Electric units split in terms of sales 50/50. Typical orders would vary from a couple of Valve packages to quite large projects, supplying a nationwide customer base of Stockists, Valve Manufacturers and End Users. We had a Blue chip client base which included many prestigious names BP, Shell, Transmark Fcx and ExxonMobil.

Within this time period my Dad and I started out and developed what was ultimately known as G.P.E. Ltd. Originating in Willenhall and moving to modern premises in Walsall 1996. I developed my role as Sales Director for the company and had gained a proven track record in helping the company grow and prosper prior to that year. This was a particularly prolific year for myself because as a company we expanded to meet increased business opportunities and reacting to this we joined the East Mercia Chamber Of Commerce this enabled me to fully realise my Sales potential. With the help of Business Link I attended various sales seminars and this gave me increased levels of confidence at helping the business prosper even further. Due to a downturn in work that led to the closure of G.P.E. Ltd in 2006. However the experience and knowledge I have gained I am sure will not be wasted and can only benefit me in any Sales or Quality orientated position.
