Supervise the affairs of the CBC Branch, promote its welfare, oversee the development of strategies for the benefit of the Branch and ensure the roles and responsibilities of the Branch directors are carried out. The President is the official spokesperson of the CBC Branch.Oversees the ethical conduct of the Branch ExecutiveCouncil, oversees the appointment of committees and implements the decisions of the CBC Branch Executive Council. The CBC Branch President is an ex-officio member of all CBC Branch committees and a member of the National Executive Committee of the CMG.

Provides highly specialized advice and support to all levels of Management in matters of finance, administration in freelance and temporary payroll, contract administration and accounts payable. Review and process complex transactions and authorize for payment those contractual obligations. Key Tasks:- Analyses, investigates and interprets financial data to ensure that the books of accountand supporting records are complete and accurate. Advises management of theresults of such analyses and, where necessary, recommends appropriate courses ofaction.- Creates financial and management reports to assist both Finance and non-Financemanagers in the decision making process.- Approves transactions such as payroll, purchase orders, contract payments and journal entries.- Audits expenditures and ensures adherence to corporate and financial policies.- Reviews work processes and procedures and recommends improvements.- Reviews and processes complex transactions through SAP and ONAIR (proprietary contract system)- Prepares and uploads data into appropriate financial subsystems such as the Travel Expense Reimbursement system

Primary responsibilities included the creation of the annual budget, approving payments, verifying revenue and working with the comptroller on a regular basis and auditors as required. My duties also included ensuring bylaws and policies were followed.As a table officer of the National CMG, I was a member of the management committee overseeing 15 staff as well as sitting as management on joint committees, including bargaining, grievance and health and safety.

Responsible for all aspects of a multi million dollar national payroll from daily and bi weekly functions to government audits. Provided presentations to management on the functioning of the payroll system. Supervised staff of 5 to ensure proper execution of bi-weekly payroll.I began my role as a Payroll Clerk and advanced to Payroll Director.Accomplishments included:Creation of a time reporting system for all GTA YMCA Locations.Conversion of the payroll systems from CYBORG to ADP.
