A commercially focused Finance and Operations leader, combining strong core fundamentals, with experience of deploying these skills within innovative and growing businesses.Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen, I spent two years in a commercial finance/ business partner role in a professional services organisation, before moving into the Management Consulting side of the business, specialising in Business Operations and Performance, including organisation design and process improvement.This background has given me a strong grounding in what best practise looks like. For the past 14 years, I have put this into practise, as a Finance (and broader operations leader), initially for Saracens Rugby Club and the wider Premier Teams Holdings Group of which it forms part and latterly for Gfinity plc. At Gfinity, I joined the company as an early stage business and led the process to bring it to IPO within 6 months of joining, making it the first listed esports business in the world in December 2014. Throughout my time with Gfinity, I have been a board member of the plc, along with a number of subsidiary companies. I have had primary responsibility for all aspects of financial reporting and corporate governanance. I have also managed investor relations and capital raising, leading the raising of over £50m for the business, along with leading M&A activity, which has seen the company acquire 6 businesses across UK and USA, via a combination of corporate and trade and assets acquisitions.Having originally joined as Chief Financial Officer, I was promoted to the role of Chief Finance and Operating Officer, reflecting a broader remit, which has also seen me manage all legal, HR and technology matters, together with being the head of the Esports Solutions business, delivering Esports programmes and strategic consulting for a range of blue chip clients.
