We examine commercial and private pilots, on behalf of the CAA, to ensure that they are fit to fly. We pride ourselves on providing a prompt and efficient service aimed at keeping pilots medically fit to fly when at all possible.

I was one of the founders and Chairman of Thamesdoc, the out-of-hours GP co-operative formed in 1993. The business has evolved over the years and merged with Harmoni, a similar business, in 2010. The company was subsequently bought out by Care UK who provide a wide range of medical services across the country. Earlier this year we started to provide the 111 service to the southeast of England in addition to our out-of-hours GP services. This required a move from our offices in Surbiton to larger premises in Dorking. This part of the Care UK business goes from strength to strength providing high quality medical care to patients in the southeast of England, and elsewhere.

From taking over a failing single handed practice in 1984, the practice is now a thriving 5 doctor practice. I retired in 2011 to alter my work / life balance and allow me to focus on my other interests - both business and pleasure.

Providing GP services to RAF servicemen and their families. I was very much involved with the Harrier force and remain close friends with several pilots who have now moved on to flying commercially or enjoying retirement. This is where I learned to fly. Happy days!
