Responsible for components of our SCBA Units. This includes the Face Mask, Voice Amplifier, Air Bottle, and the Pack itself. I have to stay in contact with our distributors to be able to send components out to be tested, repaired, and replaced.

As a Volunteer Firefighter and first responder, I can go to many different Fire and EMS emergencies. This includes the usual fire alarms as well as Carbon Monoxide, Motor Vehicle accidents, Hazmat Incidents, Rapid Interventions Team, Covid Calls and much more. On top of responding to calls we also have weekly trainings covering a multiple topics both on the Fire side as well as the EMS Side. We also have to stay up to date on vaccinations and our overall health. I was also the previous Rescue Truck Engineer. This job title brought additional responsibilities such as doing a weekly check on all the equipment on the apparatus, repair anything that we can do in house and notify the Chief Engineer for any repairs that needed to be done at a professional Apparatus Mechanic.

I assist the Treasurer as well as the Officers of the SHFD with paying bills, purchasing items necessary for the Fire Company, maintaining/ balancing accounts through Quickbooks, maintaining tax and banking documents.
