Securing customers receive the necessary service to provide them with the best solutions for their cargo.In this rotation, I was involved with the daily contact with customers and terminals, securing the right cargo to be shipped at the right time from the ports of Antwerp, Rotterdam, Hamburg, and Bremerhaven.Being involved with shipping cargo for the final destination of almost all ports within Unifeeders Northern European network, ranging from Russia to Portugal.

In Capacity Management the main responsibility is managing fluctuating volumes.In this position, I were responsible for coordinating the cargo capabilities for two of our trade lanes:- Benelux <-> Scandinavia- Benelux <-> United KingdomsIn successfully coordinating this I collaborated closely with our local feeder departments, short sea departments, and our HQ operations department.In addition to the above, I also collaborated with some of our greater customers and partners in these trade lanes. Handling all sorts of inquiries, attend customer meetings, and sharing important information to our customers and partners including operational updates.Furthermore, in this position, I developed a better procedure for one of the department's weekly tasks, with a focus on automation. Ensuring a more robust solution for the future.

Vessel Planning is based on a holistic perspective of planning vessels within different trade areas.My most important tasks in this position:- Ensuring vessels to be on time, when compared with our Proforma schedule- And if not on time, try to figure solutions to be on time.In this multi-stakeholder collaboration function, where one of the key elements included collaboration and coordination across departments and between all of our Northern European offices.At the end of this position, I had the overall planning responsibility for up to 25-30 vessels.As the first Unifeeder Graduate in this position, I subsequently to this rotation, created a thorough onboarding manual. This included all relevant information in order to have an easier transition into this position.

My primary task in this position was to support the implementation of a new IT system, in this context I had tasks as:- Process mapping, mapping processes to secure a smooth transaction and mapping processes regarding the new system and workflows- Training and support material, both for training employees in the new system and to secure the proper workflows. Training and support material included: Written guidance and guidance videos.- Data validation, securing the right data from the old system to be implemented in the new system- Data transfer, transferring data from the old system into the new system.- Challenged the system and came with solution suggestions for further development and modifications of the system, in direct contact with HQ and the developers of the systemBesides that, I also:- Did weekly economical reportings- Supported depreciation of vehicles- Supported in the calculation of buy-back agreements
